Through the Business Services Unit employers have access to:
Post job openings- To place your job orders visit or call any of the Workforce Centers or visit us online at www.workintexas.com, which is a free internet real-time job matching information system to help employers and job seekers connect. To give you an idea an average of 1,000 jobs are posted with WorkinTexas every month.
Use our Centers- Use our facilities for recruiting, interviewing and hiring. We have four centrally located offices with meeting rooms available to use.
Stay Competitive- We provide access to labor market and wage information to assist you in employee recruitment and retention.
Screening and Testing Applicants- There is a variety of assessment tools and programs to help you in screening and making the hiring process easier for you.
Unemployment Insurance and Tax Information- The Workforce Centers make available unemployment insurance and tax information to employers. In our centers you will find books and magazines with lots of information to use.
Rapid Response- The Rapid Response unit provides early assistance to help workers cope with the loss of a job or a job change whenever a layoff is inevitable. The Rapid Response team provides on site orientations to inform employees on services and benefits designed to get them back on their feet.
Tax Incentives- Work Opportunity Tax Credit- with this program an employer can obtain up to $2,400 in tax credit per eligible worker. Welfare-to-Work Tax Credit they can obtain up to $8,500 per eligible worker. State of Texas Tax Refund for employers of TANF of Medicaid Clients can get up to $2,000 per eligible worker.
