Board Committee Structure

Executive Committee –Works with the board staff in developing policy, plans, budgets and acts as liaison with chief elected officials. This committee shall be comprised of the officers of the Board, and the Chairman/Chairpersons of other standing committees. The immediate past chair will serve as an ex-officio member to provide continuity. It shall have the authority to take action on behalf of the Board when a majority of its board of directors deem an emergency exists and where public exigency requires such action. Actions of the Executive Committee will be ratified by the full board at its regularly scheduled board meeting.

Audit Committee – Responsibilities are to evaluate, monitor and audit all operations of the Local Workforce. The committee may audit any or all operations of Board responsibilities, at any time, in order to ensure that program administration and operations are in compliance with established regulations. The Committee shall review
all internal/external monitoring activities/reports and update the board with status and outcomes.

Operations Committee – Is responsible for all administration of all grant program operations. The committee should maintain reporting guidelines for all program operations in order to accomplish these duties effectively. The committee also encompasses the responsibility for performance, customer satisfaction issues, service contract administration, and One Stop Career Center operations. The committee will report to the Board.

Economic Development Committee – Aggressively coordinates and promotes the employer and business aspects of the program. This committee ensures that industry business, labor and all employer demands are addressed integrating the master plan with employer needs and demands throughout the program year.
