A NEW LAW has passed that can TRAIN Unemployed Veterans between the ages of 35 to 60 for a job.

The program is called VRAP, Veteran Retraining Assistance Program. It begins July 1, 2012 and applications are being accepted starting May 15, 2012. The Veteran will receive 12 months of training assistance at the full-time payment rate under the
Montgomery GI Bill–Active Duty program (currently $1,473 per month). This program is under the newly passed VOW to Hire Heroes Act of 2011.

Priority of Services are provided to job seekers who identify themselves as a Veteran or a spouse of a Veteran visiting one of our Workforce Centers. Call your local workforce center for more information on this and/or specialized services available.
